10 ways NCSF looks after you better

As an NCSF member you're always assured that we work on your behalf, and put your interests first. What's more, you gain access to important investment features, and other benefits. It can help put you way ahead, so you can live the life you want.

1.   Low cost and convenient

NCSF provides members with a low cost structure that's easy to understand. Plus, the fees and charges are automatically deducted from your super account, so managing it is easy. These expenses are also disclosed on your statement each year:

  • Administration fee of $1.25 per week.
  • Management fee - this ranges from 0.40% - 0.82% of the amount you invested in your investment option each year. It is deducted by the Investment Manager or Trustee from your investment earnings before they are posted to your account.
  • Performance based fees - applicable to some investment options, they range up to 20% of the out performance over the benchmark index for the relevant investment manager or asset sector. They are also deducted from investment earnings before they are posted to your account.
  • Termination/withdrawal fee of $50.00 per withdrawal.
  • Investment switching fee of $35.00 (you receive one free switch in June each year).

2.   More money in your pocket

Unlike the many retail superannuation funds, all NCSF profits are for the benefit of our members only. We do not pay commissions or charges to financial advisers or representatives.

3.   No reserving policy

This means each year, our investment returns are a true reflection of our investment performance. So it's easier for you to know exactly how well your investment is performing.

4.   Additional contributions

Topping up your super (that is, adding to it) can make it go further over time - and help you better achieve your retirement goals. With NCSF it's simple to top up via salary sacrifice (before tax) or personal contributions (after tax). With personal contributions you may also be eligible for the Government Co-contribution. Because everyone's situation is different, before making voluntary contributions it can be wise to consult a qualified financial adviser to ensure it's right for you.

5.   Proven experience

For nearly 20 years, NCSF has delivered competitive investment returns*. With a broad range of eight investment options to choose from, there's one or more that's likely to be right for you, including whether you're a high, medium, or low risk investor.

* Past investment performance should no be taken as an indication of future performance.
